In this remote section of this historic river, the water is clear, and the riverbeds are lined with huge sand bars of a light red color. The steep red banks are topped with thick green vegetation and tall pecans, oaks, elms, cedar, cottonwood, and more. There are sections where the treelined opens up to lush green pastureland and cows on the banks and in the river bottoms. The Red River of the South offers a large range of wildlife and great fishing spots too!
